Africa Wild Coast Volunteer Teaching
This Volunteer in South Africa program is an excellent chance to contribute your skills and abilities to nearby communities, you’ll be mainly working with local children to improve their qualities of life. Based in South Africa’s Wild Coast area, a region that is largely rural and undeveloped, the project’s goal is to give the many underprivileged young people living there greater access to better employment opportunities, education and resources.
Split into two parts, this volunteer community program tackles the challenges posed by the areas impoverishment by teaching children how to use computers as well as helping them to improve their sports skills too. If nearby schools don’t have access to computers, then the program supplies them with some and international volunteers teach the children how to use the computer in all aspects of their education, hence helping to increase the next generation of computer literate workers.
Role of VolunteerThis program enables each volunteer to draw heavily on their own skills. If you have particular skills in computing you can teach those to the children. If your abilities lay more in sport, then you’ll help out on the sports program. You’ll find this project very rewarding as you see how your contribution improves their skills and they learn to enjoy using computers in their lives. This has proved to be a very worthwhile project.
