California Conservation
If you want a sabbatical from your usual job but you’re unable to take a year out, why not consider this conservation program. You’ll have the chance to work outside on a volunteer project learning new, challenging skills. You’ll be based near to San Francisco in California for the four week period.
Volunteer Role
During your gap year program in America, on this conservation program, your time will likely to be taken up by Salmon Restoration based on the Medocino coastline, conservation and construction of trails in National Parks of North California, renovating historic buildings, or working on programs aimed at replanting areas with flora and fauna.
Programme Location
The 'Golden State' of California on America's west coast
Accommodation & Meals
You’ll be based in designated camps in North California. They are designed to give a comfortable stay for volunteers on the program. Most camps have general rooms specifically for Internet, televisions and socializing. Everything is included in this package (transport related to project as well) so you can just get on with enjoying yourself. USA work visas are extremely hard to get hold off, so this program allows you to volunteer in California without any hassles.
