Cultural and Language Experience Bolivia
This program provides travelers and volunteers with the perfect start to a vacation in Latin America. It is not only beneficial to speak Spanish here but knowledge of the language will make your stay more enjoyable as you interact with the Bolivians. The program also takes you to some of the cultural high spots of the region.
The Language ClassesThis program offers a basic understanding of conversational Spanish. Professional, experienced teachers tutor group lessons which take place daily (Monday to Friday). Students choose to attend either the morning or afternoon four hourly sessions.
Classes are sociable and fun and designed to maximize learning using Spanish conversation, group role-play and by watching Latin American films.
Experience the Culture
Several cultural activities are organized each week and our on-site coordinators can also advice you on tours you may wish to join and places to visit. Sucre is a buzzing city and our coordinators will inform you of any events you may want to attend.
Project LocationThe Language School in Bolivia is an attractive colonial building set in the heart of the city center. All places of interest in the city are usually within walking distance of the school with Sucre's main plaza just one block away.
Accommodation & MealsParticipants usually stay with a typically Bolivian local family, who will be well known to the onsite staff. Their homes are of an excellent standard. You will join the family for breakfast and supper which provides you with the perfect opportunity to practice your Spanish and sample typical Bolivian dishes.
VolunteeringWith your newly found Spanish skills, you could consider doing some volunteer work in one of the deprived areas of the country. Our programs offer you the opportunity to help out in an animal rescue center, to teach in a volunteer center or care for children in an orphanage. Programme Summary:
This project helps our students to learn Spanish in the perfect environment! Participants may also like to consider a volunteer placement once their language course has finished or might just like to travel around the country absorbing its culture and beauty.
Arrival dates:
Generally first Monday of every month but other dates are available.
