Mozambique Community Development
The Mozambique Community Development program offers a combination of activities, providing you with the chance to take part in vital community support within rural African villages and a sports development scheme with local children.
Volunteer RoleVolunteering on this project will involve you in a variety of areas such as cookery lessons, craft workshops, HIV and AIDS workshops, teaching English and general community development work. You can also spend time playing with local children on the soccer project, organizing tournaments, and developing their skills as well as gaining an valuable insight into the daily lives of local Mozambique communities in Africa. In your free time you will also be able to relax and enjoy Mozambique's optional excursions including Open Water PADI certificate.
As a volunteer on the Mozambique Community Development Program, you can get involved in the following projects:

(This is simple, low-key and very fun interaction with local children and villagers)

- Cooking Lessons

- Vilanculos Community Project

Project LocationThe coastal town of Vilanculos, Mozambique is a short boat ride from the World Heritage Site Bazaruto Archipelago.
Accommodation and MealsWhilst on your project, you can stay in rustic but very comfortable thatched bungalows, located 100m from the beach. You will stay in triple rooms and share with up to two other volunteers. You will have access to a kitchen, dining area and lounge and a swimming pool decking area.
Throughout your program, you will receive three meals a day, however, at weekends you will sometimes need to cook your own meals with ingredients that can be provided.
