Differing from our other Volunteer Community projects, this program allows you to stay with a nearby host family. You’ll have a totally different insight and perspective on South African city life than if you stayed in our other accommodations in Cape Town. As well as this, the subject of your program choice will be built around your interests and what you expect from a gap year volunteer program. So our advisers will specifically match your interests and skills to what ever is your preferred project.

By giving your time in voluntary work in South Africa, you will substantially contribute to children and communities in a very underprivileged part of society.

Examples of volunteer programs that require your contribution, skills and time are:
  • Working in childrens' orphanages
  • Education for street kids
  • Wildlife conservation
In your own free time at weekends, you’ll be able to explore the very vibrant and lively Cape Town, along with visiting famous landmarks such as Table Mountain, the very well known Garden Route, along with local wine lands such Cape Point near Simonstown.
