Take your PADI open water diving course at one of the best dive-sites in the world; study Buddhism with monks and stay in their temple; trek through the Thai jungle.

The Thai Experience and Diving itinerary

Week One - Introduction
This week is your introduction to Thailand. During this week you will learn about Thailand, its people, culture, attitudes and customs, with some basic language lessons too. You will have a number of trips during this week.

Week two - Temple Stay & Outdoor Activities
Learn all about the Buddhist faith, with a stay in a Buddhist temple. Learn to meditate from the local Monks, a rare experience that most travellers do not have.

Week three - Trekking in the South of Thailand
Trekking in a Thai jungle not often visited by other tourists. Traveling through a National Park inhabited by elephants, monkeys and tropical birds, you will stay in tents and local home-stays, allowing you to get to know Thailand's nature first hand. Finishing with a day on a deserted beach.

Week Four - PADI Dive Course
Based on the Island of Koh Tao, spend 6 days doing your PADI Open Water. The course is taken by fully accredited Dive Masters and is conducted under all of the necessary safety precautions that PADI enforce.

Programme Location

You will be met at Bangkok airport and taken to your hotel for a two-night stopover in Bangkok.  You will be collected by our coordinator on Sunday and taken to the province of Sing Buri (which is 140km north of Bangkok) to stay in a temple. The third week is spent in a Thai jungle and you then move on to Koh Tao for your fourth week and the diving course.

Programme Accommodation

You will be housed in one of our three Eco Houses which sleep between 11 and 28 people in dorm style accommodation (bed numbers per room range from three to 12).  The majority of houses have western style toilets and each bathroom has a shower with running cool water which is refreshing after the heat of the day.  Each house has a common area where participants eat and relax.
